Wendie Plan

Yes, it's been over a week since I've updated. I do apologuise!

I had my WI on Wednesday morning, and I was down 1.6! I'm satisfied with that loss, it's right within the healthy weight loss range. I did also decide this week that I'm going to give the Wendie Plan a shot. So, this is what my week looks like points-wise:

Wednesday - 28 Points
Thursday - 33 Points
Friday - 29 Points
Saturday - 43 Points
Sunday - 28 Points
Monday - 32 Points
Tuesday - 30 Points

I'm satisfied with this. I'm super glad that it worked out for Saturdays to be the Super High Day, as Saturdays are generally a struggle, especially when I have something going on, which, in the next few weeks is EVERY Saturday.

Tomorrow, I have got a Baby Shower to attend, which is not such a big deal. It's right after lunch at 1:00pm, so I'll likely be full from lunch and not tempted by any snacks at the party.

Sunday is Father's Day. My father lives in Alberta, and hasn't been much a part of my life since my parents separated when I was 11. My Grandfather, however, does live here, and we are quite close to him. The plan is to go out for Brunch that day, which could prove to be another challenge - I'll have to do some research online prior to going.

Monday is my Brother's Graduation Mass (he goes to a Catholic High School). Mom has decided that the family is going to go out after the Mass for Wings at Brewsters (if anyone has heard of it?? It's based out of Regina, but they do have locations in Calgary and Edmonton for sure, I know. However, no NI!!) It is wing night on Monday, however, I have decided that I'm going to opt for the Lettuce Wraps, which I thoroughly enjoy. It's a mixture of rice and either shrimp or chicken with some teriyaki sauce on it, and you put them together using lettuce as the wrap. I figure they can't be too bad for me!

Tuesday is the actual Graduation Ceremony in the afternoon, which I'm going to miss, as I'm out of holiday days to take, due to my wedding later this summer. There is a banquet in the evening though, which I will be attending. This is likely to be like turkey, potatoes, etc, which shouldn't be to difficult. Definately skipping the dessert table!

The following weekend is my cousin's Grade 12 Graduation, so we'll be travelling the 2.5 hrs to their place to attend. Which again, means, more bad food.

The weekend after that is a family reunion, again, out of town. We'll be staying in a hotel. I'm planning on bringing breakfast with me, in order to save on points, as I'll have little control over what else I'm eating that weekend.

Then, the weekend of July 11, is finally my Bridal Shower! I'm very much looking forward to that.

Anyway. Nothing else really to report. It's currently friday night and not very late, and I'm in bed in pajamas, because I lead such an exciting life! Actually, haven't been sleeping too well lately so I'm quite enjoying this.

I hope everyone has a great OP weekend!

Life is a Muffin

Yes.. Life is a muffin. I'm really not sure about that, but we'll go with it.

I had my WI yesterday (Wednesday) morning. I was down 0.6, much to my disappointment. I'd tried so hard to be good in Calgary, and didn't indugle in anything that I shouldn't have, although, let me tell you, I sure wanted to!! I'm going to blame the small loss on minimal exercise and not enough water guzzling. So, I took my minimal loss as motivation to get my butt in gear. I've decided that I'm not going to eat any of my WP or my AP this week, drink at least 4 L of water a day, and no more chips for a MONTH (until July 11... which, coincidently is my Bridal Shower.. bad Idea?? Probably.. ) Chips are a serious downfall to me. Although this time on WW I've had no problems eating them and still being within my DP or WP at the most, I just enjoy them way tooooo much. I gave them up for lent this year, so I can make it a meesly 30 days. I know this!

Anyway, so after my WI (it was 6am..) I walked over to DF's house (15 min) and went on the Wii Active for the daily 20 minute workout. I then walked home (15 min) So here, I earned 6 AP.. all before 7:30 in the morning. Well, let me tell YOU, this Wii Active is kicking my butt.. litterally.. my butt is SOOO sore!! It's my body thanking me, I know. The rest of yesterday went by relatively well. I stayed within my DP, drank all my water.. and sat on my butt all night. NO wonder it's so sore.. haha!

Today, I wasn't as eager to get out of bed. Although I was awake at 6:00am, I layed in bed until 7:00. I had a tanning appointment this morning. I figured I should get that started so I'm not a pasty white ghost bride in August. Like seriously.. my mother is a redhead, and I was blessed (cursed) with the freckly redhead fair skin.

DF had been saying he's wanted Banana Loaf for a few days now, and since I noticed he had some Bananas on the counter that were reaching their expiry, I decided I'd give it a shot. I used my Online tools to research a Banana Loaf Recipe. I decided to make it into muffins however, then I didn't have to guess what 1/10 of the loaf was, I just knew that 1 muffin = 4 points. They turned out beautifully! And big too, I was awfully surprised. DF didn't think they were too bad either!

So, tomorrow is Friday, my best intentions are for a wonderful OP weekend. We've got nothing planned for this weekend, except for an improv show. I don't foresee any issues, as all they sell is drinks there, and I'm not a big drinker. So all shall go well. I hope everyone out there has a great weekend!

After a weekend away...

Going away for the weekend is always a terrible time for me and weightloss. I am terrible with eating in the car, I`m terrible eating at restaurants, and I`m terrible for snacking constantly. Knowing all this, I prepared myself, and ... succeeded!
Before leaving on Friday, I cut up some fresh cauliflower and carrots into a container, and also popped some air-pop popcorn, which I sprayed with bacel spray and topped with taco seasoning. The whole bag I made (which was really large!) was only 6 points! It was fantastic.
So, come road-trip... we stopped at Extreme Pita on the way out of town. I got the flat-baked pita (again.. I love them!). That kept me fairly satisfied for the entire 8-hour drive to calgary. About 5:00 I was getting snacky, so I ate about 2 points worth of the popcorn, and then some cauliflower. It was great!
We ate out the entire weekend, I made healthy choices, and feel so much better about myself then I would have, had I not. I ended up using 15 WP over the weekend, which I`m fine with. I didn`t drink as much water as I usually try to, mostly due to the extra time spent in the vehicle travelling all over the city, and didn`t have time for pee breaks every 5 minutes!!
I`m very satisfied with my choices this weekend, and am very much looking forward to my WI tomorrow! I`ll make sure to post!

Back to the Posting!

Alright, well, it's been nearly a year since I've posted. About time, maybe??

So, long story short, I got off track.. WAYYY off track! I gained about 30 lbs this last year, which disgusts me. I re-joined Weight Watchers (WW) Online on April 21, 2009. I've never done online before, and to date, I'm loving it! I've been quite religious to the boards, I'm tracking right on my computer at work during the day, and I don't have to worry about making it to a meeting! This is working for me! I re-joined this time at 257.2lbs - so far I'm down 12.2 lbs, at 245. Hopefully this is the last time!

I've come to the conclusion that I'll probably never be "skinny". The smallest that I can remember being is 205, which I reached with WW a couple of years ago. I was looking back at pictures the other day, and was surprised to realize how good I looked then. I realize 205 is not small by any means, but for me, it is. I'm only 23 years old, and in my life, cannot remember being smaller than that. Weight has always been an issue, and it always will be. Anyway, I've decided this time that I'd like to try to get to 195 (50 lbs to go!) and then determine where I will go from there. So that is my goal for now folks, to get to 195. I know I can do this, I've done it before.

When I first joined WW I weighed 284.2 (my heaviest) and lost almost 80 lbs! Then I had to go and gain it back, but.. that's another story!!

Anyway, I'm really optimistic about this right now, I'm loving the program, which is what I need in my life.

Today I had my WI, I was down 1.4 pounds, which, I realize is an awesome loss, however, I do have to admit that I was somewhat disappointed. I got up an hour early every day and took my dog for a walk (I wasn't getting any exercise prior to last week) for about an hour, drank 4L of water a day, tracked religiously. I guess I was hoping for at least 2 lbs - or.. if It had all just disappeared, I would have enjoyed that as well! Hah, In a perfect world!

Anyway, here I am, slightly discouraged over my minimal loss (which, again, in my head, I do know is good, and yes, I will continue to remind myself). I'm going to be going to Calgary on friday afternoon, and coming home on Monday. I really have a hard time being good when I'm away. For me, it tends to be all, or nothing. Meaning, I pretty much have to stick to my guns, or I lose it, and eat everything in sight. I don't know why. Whyyyy meeee!! Gah!

I've decided I'm going to make a plan for Friday (our travel day). I'm working until noon, then we're going to take off. We'll probably grab Subway or Extreme Pita when we leave Regina, then dinner likely in Medicine Hat. I need to determine where in Medicine Hat though, so I can decide before hand what I can eat.

When I go out to eat lately I've been determining what I'm going to eat before I even leave home, then do not even bother opening the menu, as I know I'll change my mind. This seems to be working for me.

Anyway, that is enough for today, I will try and post frequently, but we'll see how that goes!!
